Roots Tech Information Feb 24-27th Last Chance to Sign up!

Ok so it's not your "Last Chance" you can still sign up literally anytime this week, but hey since you're reading this why not click this link right now and sign up? Go ahead I'll wait... www.rootstech.org  Sis. Moulton has curated a great list of classes that will be available to view whenever you would like for the next year, what an amazing resource! If you would like this list please let me know and I'll email you individually.(This was sent as an attachment in my Ward email-please check your inbox or Spam folder) She also gave a great video presentation on how to search for and through these classes and I've included the link to watch that video The conference begins with it's first Keynote Speaker on Wednesday night Feb 24th at 9pm, I know it's late but the speaker will be Nick Vujicic! This is the man I talked about in Sacrament meeting today that was born without arms and legs and I promise that he will be worth staying up to watch. (His talk repeats Thursday at 8am if that works better for your schedule) And since he did such a great job at organizing these better than I ever could I'll just also include these links that the Sake President sent in his email earlier: There are four key areas of RootsTech Connect that I wanted to call to your attention: 1. RootsTech Connect classes, speakers, and events Classes will begin live-streaming on Wednesday night at 9pm. Content will be rebroadcast and available on demand. There will be some great keynote speakers. You can review the main stage streaming schedule, and the list of classes you can join. Use the playlist feature on rootstech.org to create your own personalized list of classes to attend. 2. "Our Quest for Connection" for Youth and Young Adults Check out the youth page for RootsTech titled "Our Quest for Connection". There are two main activities focused on youth. The first is a series of 10 fun "Challenges" that connect us all with our past, present, and future, and make great youth activities. The second is the wrap up event specifically for youth hosted by Elder David A. Bednar that is Saturday at 1pm on ChurchofJesusChrist.org. 3. Family Discovery Day Session Join Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and Sister Patricia Holland and their family as they talk about the importance of connections we make in our lives. This will be Saturday at Noon via a livestream on ChurchofJesusChrist.org. 4. Temple and Family History Leadership Instruction Join Elder David A. Bednar, Elder Gary E. Stevenson, and Elder Dale G. Renlund as they provide training focused on the theme "Hear Him Through Temple and Family History Work" based on President Nelson's promise that "as you increase your time in temple and family. history work, you will increase and improve your ability to hear Him." Watch anytime beginning Thursday on ChurchofJesusChrist.org. We hope that all members of the stake will join us in participating in RootsTech. See you there (virtually)! Do you feel overloaded yet? Are you actually still reading this long email? Good job-That's why we love you! It's obvious my dear friends that this is important and something that the Lord wants us to participate in, these resources have been given to us to help move the work of Salvation forward and to help us find the door that opens this work up to us. With so many classes available I guarantee that one of them (if not many more than just one) will be the one that gets you started on a wonderful journey of service, testimony building and blessings without end in your life. This conference and it's recorded classes will be a wonderful resource for Family Home Evenings, Youth activities, Sabbath day activities and something fun to share with others. Please do all you can to participate even if it's to just watch one talk, open one class to view, make one search, start one challenge...Thank you! Have a wonderful week.-- Sincerely,  Bishop Howard Jackman
