Sacrament Meeting Livestream link and Updates for October 2020

Good Sunday Morning my friends! It's so good to talk with you today after a wonderful General Conference weekend. I hope that you all took some time last week to watch or listen to the wonderful talks that were given, they were truly inspiring and inspired messages from a loving Heavenly Father. If you missed any I would sincerely hope that you would visit the church's website and watch them. I look forward to reviewing and discussing a small selection of them with you over the next few months in our Relief Society and Elders Quorum classes. During the General Conference weekend the Stake installed and set up a new system for our weekly Sacrament Meeting broadcasts with new cameras and audio system. We are hopeful that this will greatly simplify your ability to view our Sacrament meeting and with improved sound and video. The weekly link for the video will be the same every week and is accessed simply by going to https://westlandstake.org/ it will look like this:
Please click on the View Sacrament Meeting Live bar:
Click on the 4th Ward bar and you will see our video player:
And that's it! It will be the same page every week! If you'd like the direct link to save it is: https://westlandstake.org/4th if the video doesn't play by 1pm please just refresh the page. We don't anticipate any problems however anything can happen with technology so please be patient and if you are not able to see or hear anything please send a text my way to let me know. I appreciate all of your patience so far as we try to get this all set up to allow us all to be together in these unique times. Also by way of announcement it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend Bro. Rick Brown on September 27th. He will be greatly missed! His family has written a wonderful tribute to him that you can view by clicking here This is the announcement for his memorial service: "The family will be holding a celebration of life for Rick on October 17, 2020. The day he was diagnosed with cancer he had a meeting with his family and said, “No pity parties.” And we wish to honor him and his life with a celebration. There will be an open house at his home from 5:30P-7:00P. We will have hot dogs and hamburgers, and a memorial of his life set up that you can look at. If you aren’t able to attend but still would like to express memories or condolences, please email dnicolebrown4@gmail.com. If you need the address to his home, please contact Nicole 801-694-7331." Thank you everyone for your wonderful service and heartfelt prayers for the Brown family and for all those in the Ward that are in need at this time. It is a great reminder of the power of service and caring for our neighbors that we can do wonderful things through simple acts. Please check on your neighbors, families and friends and let your Relief Society and Elders Quorum presidencies know of any needs or concerns so we may rally the Ward to help. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you at 1pm! -- Sincerely, Bishop Howard Jackman
